Let’s face it, sometimes we all wish we could live in our own personal bubble. Going on a Zorbing adventure makes that bubble real – and super fun!

How can you get started with zorbing? Can you do it just anywhere? And how can you can take it all the way to maximum zorbing adventure!

Get started with zorbing…

Play bubble football/soccer. If you’d rather your bubble let you keep your feet on the ground, bubble football could be for you!

Get some friends together and play a game of bubble football. You’ll be dressed in a bubble from the waist up and bounce off your opponents’ tackles! You don’t even have to be good at soccer – in fact it probably helps if you aren’t!

The laughs won’t stop for hours so this one is perfect for a stag/hen or birthday celebration.

A little more zorbing adventure…

Have you ever wanted to walk on water? Then Water Zorbing could be your thing!

Climb inside your human-size hamster ball and make your way out onto a calm lake. The fun is in trying to move forward whilst the ball slides around on the water.

You’ll be exhausted and out of breath with laughter! Make sure you gather some friends to share the fun.

Maximum zorbing adventure!

Zorbing is a classic New Zealand adventure activity and in Rotorua you can roll down a hill in a zorb of fresh water. Don’t worry – it’s not full of water – think waterslide-slash-bouncy castle!

Only ten minutes from the centre of Rotorua, this one is called Zorb Zydro. You can choose from three different tracks for your fun zorbing experience.

Make sure you pack your swimmers and expect to get wet as you slip and slide around inside the zorb.

Too Many Wrinkles? Visit This Waterfall! Milford Sound, New Zealand

I quite often get told that I look younger than I am. I’m 31, but I get asked for ID in the supermarket every time I attempt to buy a bottle of wine. I get chatted up by men in their early twenties. I recently wasn’t recognised as the candidate attending a job interview, despite being the only person in reception (aside from the receptionist) and wearing a sharp Ted Baker suit. It sounds great to look youthful, and it is, but just sometimes it’s a bit of a pain.

And it’s a bit strange because, up until I was about 25, people always used to think I was older than I was. I started going to the pub before I was 18. I got into nightclubs with no hassle. At work, colleagues guessed I was about five years older. So what happened?

Believe it or not, I blame a waterfall in the South Island of New Zealand. I spent about a month in NZ with a kiwi ex-boyfriend in my mid-twenties and we visited Milford Sound for a couple of days. A boat took us out into the Sound and we spend some time paddling around in canoes, taking in the amazing scenery.

At one point, the boat took us towards a raging waterfall which sent a spray of fine water droplets into the air. The guides told us that, according to Maori legend, anyone who got the spray of the waterfall on their face would look ten years younger.

I’m living proof of this legend. You should go.
