Never heard of a Coasteering Adventure? Coasteering is watersports activity which involves moving along the intertidal zone of a rocky coastline without any additional equipment. It’ll be just you, some old trainers/sneakers, a wetsuit, a life jacket and a helmet.
Coasteering can involve swimming, scrambling, canyoning, as well as climbing, jumping and diving into the water.
Get started with coasteering
You don’t need any specific experience to join a beginner coasteering session, but you do need to be able to swim. You’ll have a wetsuit and buoyancy aid, but you will be in the water quite a bit!
One of the best places in the world for coasteering is the West Coast of England, with its beautiful rugged coastline.
You can sign up for a beginner coasteering adventure to give it a go.
A little more coasteering adventure
If you’re after a little more coasteering adventure, and you’ve tried a couple of beginner sessions, you can sign up for an intermediate session. The level of adventure increases with the length and complexity of the route, and the height of the jumps into the water.
Maximum coasteering adventure
If you really want to dial up the adventure, check out advanced coasteering sessions at the world’s best coasteering spots.
Advanced coasteering involves some seriously tricky routes. You’ll climb through cracks and crevices, get blasted by sea spray and ride sluices (natural rapids). Then climb up the cliffs to jump from high heights into deep plunge pools.
You’ll need to have completed a few coasteering routes already before signing up.
