Type ‘hikes near me’ into google and take your pick for a local hiking adventure. Explore a different side of wherever you live on a sunny afternoon.
Sometimes you won’t even need to leave the city. Hong Kong, for example, has hiking trails up to spectacular views from the Peak. Or in London, you could hike to Richmond Park.
A hike close to your own city can be a great option if you’re stuck for something to do this weekend!

Where is your nearest mountain range? Why not find out and set off for a more challenging weekend of beautiful vistas? You could have an amazing hiking adventure without leaving your state or country.
I live in a particularly flat area of the UK so I love to get out to the more hilly or coastal areas for a hike! To me it feels like another country altogether, but I’ve usually only taken a few hours drive.
Find out which areas of your country have a different landscape to what you’re used to and take a look. National Parks are a great place to start!
